CyberCube will shortly be hosting a webinar looking at the growth of the insurance and reinsurance market in Asia, particularly regarding cyber development. I'm Yvette Essen, Head of Content, Communications, and Creative for CyberCube. I'll be moderating the session, and joining me for the webinar will be William Altman, Cyber Threat Intelligence Principal for CyberCube.
William, can you tell me briefly about the kind of things you'll be covering in your presentation for that webinar?
William Altman:
"Yeah, thank you, Yvette. I am so excited about this webinar. We're really going to focus on key lessons learned in the U.S. and European cyber markets over the last five years that players in the Asian market can adapt early on. Essentially, they can leapfrog where we've been in the West and possibly even get ahead in the near future. So, we're going to focus on those key lessons learned, and it's going to be really interesting for folks, not only in the Asian market but also in the U.S. and European markets, who are interested in what's going on on that side of the world today. We’re very excited to deliver the insights in this webinar."
Yvette Essen:
"Now, very briefly, just give us a little bit of a flavor of some of those lessons."
William Altman:
"Sure. We're really going to start by talking about the importance of measuring aggregation risk at the technology level inside of a portfolio, using a specific type of tool and data set called Single Point of Failure (SPOF) Intelligence. Then, we'll look at modeling some of the worst catastrophes we've seen here in the West—things like the downing of internet service providers and mobile network operators. These are threats actively maturing in the Asian market today. If the market can get in front of them, they will be better suited to establish resilience. Finally, we’re going to look at some forward-looking trends that my team and I at CyberCube are watching through the end of the year, which we think are very relevant for players in the Asian market."
William will be taking part in that webinar, and we’ll also have Greg Carter from A.M. Best in a discussion with Jon Choi from CyberCube. Please do register—details should be showing up on the screen, and I hope to see you there.
