Accelerating cyber growth through strategic partnerships was the overarching theme of CyberCube’s Foresight conference in New York. I'm Yvette Essen, Head of Content, Communications, and Creative for CyberCube in America. We’ve been gathering across the industry to discuss some of the key themes that the cyber reinsurance community needs to be aware of. But what is Foresight?

"Foresight is CyberCube’s user conference, designed to bring together our community of clients and partners who are at the forefront of cyber risk analytics. We host the event twice each year, once in London and once in New York. We feature a combination of speakers from our client and partner organizations, as well as from CyberCube itself, discussing some of the leading themes in cyber risk analytics."
This year, some 150 people registered for the event, and nine external speakers joined us to cover a variety of topics. These ranged broadly across several issues. For example, we explored single predictive analytics and took a deeper look into counterfactual analysis—examining events that could have happened and how different factors might have altered the outcomes.
The role of brokers was also an important theme, as we discussed the challenges brokers face and the opportunities ahead of them. Artificial intelligence emerged as a strong theme as well. Ashwin Kashyap, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, spoke about how we utilize AI at CyberCube in our product development and offerings. He introduced a new theme around how we are using AI in a secure and responsible way.
Partnerships were a key theme throughout all the sessions, especially during our technology partnership discussions. The importance of collaboration was highlighted, and the event created many opportunities for networking throughout the day.
To round off the event, we were delighted to welcome a keynote speaker from the U.S. government. The emphasis on partnerships, echoed throughout the conference, continued to resonate during the keynote.
